Just realised - there's no board specific for advertising offers, and requesting services.

That's a good idea, Brian... might help kerb spamming a little also. Would anyone else like to see such a forum...? If there's the demand, we'll create it. If there's people that are against it, we'd equally like to hear!

Requesting Services - Thumbs Up

Advertising Offers - Tut Tut - this will be an invitation to spammers IMO. Perhaps if there is a minimum post limit required (or turn in some ants for each post), it would work though...

One of the problems with forums in general seems to be that they attract spammers. Sad

There are different ways different places handle it. At IMR anyone can post in the offers/requests, but at Sitepoint they use a permissions system that requires a minimum of 20 posts before a user can advertise in their marketplace.

Perhaps such a section would ultimately not be desirable - mererly a suggestion, though. Smile
