A friend asked the Shilas Wheels lot who are the big name for that in the UK about insuring a Land Rover (4x4) and they told her they don't do those as ladies don't drive 4x4's....hmm. OK, so all those women dropping kids off at school in their 4x4's aren't actually driving them then? Smile

It's like anything - some insurance companies specialise in certain markets so they in theory off you cheaper options, but personally I would still check very carefully as especially things like female only insurance might have restrictions, eg: max mileage per year or must have 2 drivers etc.

A lot of it is just marketing spin to be honest and I suspect this lot for example are probably just a division of a bigger company.

From Sheila's Wheels small print:

"The owner of this site is esure Services Limited."

I agree it is just marketing, I doubt whether woman actually get a better deal when put head to head with others using insurance comparison sites.

Try discussing your situation with a local insurance broker - probably for the best options, one who handles multiple lines - and try to figure out both the type and amount of insurance you need based upon your current family situation and needs.

I would suggest you to consult some insurance broker who can help you in this regard. There are certain companies which can provide good benefits at low premium. Hope you can get a best insurance policy. Good luck.

There is no such thing really as female car insurance, and it doesn't matter as anyinsurance company will make a decision based on your sex anyway, and adjust the premium accordingly.
