I like the Aardvark Forums, but why are so many people one post wonders?

From what I have read most of them are asking odd questions then offski.

It's fairly common on a lot of forums, isn't it?

There are those who want to get involved and those who just want a quick answer to something. I like to think the latter would give a bit more back, but it seems it's not always the case.

Then there's also the spammers - they often do one post and get themselves banned. Wink

Embarassed Yes, perhaps I was a bit over-enthusiastic. Laughing

But this is a great forum and I try to help to keep it that way. Sometimes I make mistakes, though. Believe it or not, I'm only human. Wink

Laughing Was that a terrible mistake? I dunno. As a Scot, it's not a mistake I would lose sleep about. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

It was pretty awful, though. Truly cringe-worthy.

Poor Robert Green. He'll never live that one down. Laughing

That group's keepers seem to be cursed. The Guardian's minute-by-minute commentary's just described the Slovenian goal against Algeria:

Only 6 months ago he had a similar lapse in concentration. Confused

It's a tough one. If the 1 post wonders were legit members and were scared off by an unwelcome audience then I'd be concerned, but many do appear to be spammers.

Classic.

Yes Adi I see no reason why they come and go...
There is a lot of very useful information on this forum, esp compared to most.
