Very Happy There's lots of things I'd like but can't afford.

A hunky man to carry my luggage, A private jet? The presidential suite in every hotel.

Meanwhile, I'll just have to make do with AirAsia, and whatever else is within our budget. Cool

So, is advertising really designed to make people act in a stupid way?

It would make sense if advertising is aimed at those who are prepared to pay, whether they can truly afford it or not. I personally think it's the responsibility of the buyer to decide whether or not its within his/her budget or not.

It's really pretty simple, isn't it? Or am I missing something? Cool

Many products with absolutely no tangible benefits over its competition are advertised on an emotional level, most multinational brands are marketed this way.

Advertising in its most pure form is simply exposure.

You could have the ultimate product, but if nobody knows about it, then nobody will buy it.

If somebody has the means to acquire your product, would you deny them the right to pay you for it?

i think there is nothing wrong in borrowing as long as you are investing it to a business or purchasing something that is truly important to you. I have been contemplating on borrowing money for my upcoming house construction and was thinking of building an apartment at the back of our house for rent out. The rent would compensate for the mortgage especially for the interest.

Because they feel the need for something they do not have, and think if they miss this chance, when some offer given by companies, they cannot buy the thing forever since they could not afford the whole amount. So easily take a decision to borrow the rest of amount from somebody and return back after wards. But We do not know when the afterward comes?
