My new website is more or less ready, but since it has 15 pages or so, I want to use php to create header, footer, side bar and ... possibly other elements. Is there a basic-website-created-using-PHP template? Kind of template that enables me to create header, footer, side bar, etc.?

Have you tried using "include" tag?

Sample:

<? include ("mainmenu.php"); ?> //u can use your own naming convention
//Place this on every page on all the page that requires the main menu

<? include ("sidemenu.php"); ?> //u can use your own naming convention
//Place this on every page on all the page that requires the side menu

<? include ("bannerAd_vertical.php"); ?>
//Place this on every page on all the page that displays this banner Ad

<? include ("footer.php"); ?>
//Place this on every page on all the page that requires the footer.

Get the picture. Then you only need to update the single file to update all 15 pages.
I'm assuming that all your pages are PHP pages not HTML.

My opinion, use the template is useful for updating, but it's not useful for SEO.
Then, the search engine can crawl the HTML code only, can't index the script code and load the document.

A 'recommendation' from someone I don't know in China does not induce me to race over to the site you so kindly recommended. Rolling Eyes
