Hi there

Please take a moment to introduce yourself to the rest of the community (see the introductions forum, highlighted in red, and read the sticky posts at the top of it). You'll find you are more likely to get responses to your website review request if you've bothered to post an introduction.

Thanks

Aaron

I love the site's concept. Especially the web design. I'm sure if you put religion as a heading - there would be tons of opinions!

Overall my opinion is I like it.

Hmmm... I'm not sure who it's catering for to be honest.

Firstly, I didn't 'get' it because I didn't see the bit on the right at the onset. But, even when I had read that, I wasn't convinced it was fulfilling a particular demand.

- I get the point of the website, but it isn't one that I would bother reading or return to
- Text is too small
- Too much text on each page
- Text colours against the background colours make it too hard to read
- It is not obvious to visitors what the site is about. It is described in the FAQ but that it hidden at the bottom of the screen
- 'DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional' I would revise that
- Too few features to make the site useful or fun

hey i checked out your site..its good.i really enjoyed few things on it.. you can improve few things from seo's viewpoint:
1.add alt text to your images.
2.there should only one h1 tag on a page.but you have so many h1 tags.so remove extra tags.
3.You should set up an permanent redirect between shortology.com & www dot shortology.com so that you can get full credit for your work.
4.Add rss feed to your blog.

I agree with general points raised about text size and the use of colours.

The page header needs a little jazzing up and i would move your logo down by say 10-15px from the top. Try adding a repeating (x) background with a subtle gradient from your blue to your nav bar dark grey black. It can be very subtle but to give a little depth.

I would strengthen the text "so whats your point" in your logo to be a little thicker and a align it left with the S of "shortology". Its just that a logo needs be strong when sitting on a page with all the other elements and for me i dont really notice it. Especially as for me your logo tells me in a second roughly what your site is about. For me the most important part about telling me what your site is/does is your strap line and i can bearly see it.
