Lost my interest after about 30 seconds when I couldn't work out how to use it.

Allso, aren't you supposed to have made a certain number of posts before including URLs on this site?

Hi leo

It's usually best to become a part of the community and give a little before asking for favours. There's a place to introduce yourself first off which is a good starting point.

I took a quick look at the website and lasted a bit longer, but only about 2 minutes. I didn't like the whole scrolling in and out, just to see some line drawings or some pictures of birds or some pictures of the view where you are. It didn't really interest me, if I'm honest, and I didn't really "get it".

Hello Leo

Use the Introductions Forum to post your intro!

With regards to scrolling, its use is logical in Google Maps when people want to zoom into a particular location that interests them. So, if someone is interested in London, yes... they zoom in on London and it works a treat.

In the case of your presentation, people don't know what they're going to be zooming into so, in effect, they zoom in on something random. There's no logic in doing that. As a mathematician, I'm sure you must be able to see that!

Paul

If that example was meant to sell the concept to me, it doesn't! I find it far more cumbersome to zoom in on the person's CV than I would just clicking on a link. What's more, the text within it is not spiderable.

I'm not saying that zooming in is always a bad thing - I think it's just suited to certain scenarios (eg. Google Maps). Another nice example I saw recently was this:
http://wembley360.wembleystadium.com/

If Microsoft thought it was a preferable way for getting around the Web, they'd be using it for microsoft.com and bing.com surely...

I didn't look at the HardRock example as it requires me to install software to use it. Another big no-no when it comes to usability.

ROFL! Why ask for people's opinions if you don't want to hear them?

Methinks leo isn't really after reviews but more trying to get the word out and to get people to use the site. I see he's posted review requests on multiple forums (in some cases such as V7N, they have been removed), no doubt in a bid to promote the site as other posts demonstrate that he's also seeking assistance with marketing.

I actually feel I gave quite honest and helpful feedback but, because it wasn't what he wanted to hear, he sounds like he's taking his bat and ball home. You just can't help some people!
