We recently added a product line to our website to be able to offer quality products at a lower price. It is called "Instants Wins" and now with PayG service

But.. Has anyone had much experience using PayPal? Pros and cons..

Hi,

I have used paypal standard several times on a couple of different sites, its has always been reliable and fast without any problems. I find the conns sometimes is the checkout window placing too much emphasis on logging into your paypal account and its not always easy to find the pay by credit/debit card link, but i believe they have been changing the interface or at least in beta testing. Another downside are of course the charges 20p + 3.4% of the amount per transaction, but all the payment providers charge similar, so i guess i cant grumble.

There is a lot of good guides and support for paypal integration. Very Happy

We have paypal on our site and find it works well.

You can always opt for Paypal pro as i believe it intergrates with websites so the customer won't see the paypal screen.

This is great news as I am going to start up a new website, where I intend to sell my own/ and others peoples art, I was thinking about pay pal and this just reaffirmed how good it would be for my small business.

If you're not processing payments on your site through a merchant account, Paypal is the best hassle-free alternative. Fees are a bit higher than when you accept credit card payments yourself but you can get started in just a few minutes. Just remember to transfer money regularly from your Paypal account to your bank account.

I was like the rest of the world fed up with PayPal and that was when I realized there are other options out there and I found this website. I am located in the US so I looked under the alternatives and found MerchantInc to be a great option for me. It did not cost anything to set up and I can cancel at anytime at no charge. Depending on where in the world you are you should look up to see if there is an option recommended for you. I am finally free of paypal

I use PayPal, for many people it is well known and trusted, and this is important when doing business with a customer for the first time.

I use PayPal but I think it should also be known that for many people it is known and not trusted.

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=don't+trust+paypal should give some insights.
