Hello, I am looking to get a review of my latest website design. The website is an online bingo site from the UK and the target market is mostly women. We went with a pink theme since it is the most common colour of niche sites in this business.

Thoughts on the design and anything else appreciated.

I'd say it looks pretty professional but I'm obviously not your target market. Wink

I noticed quite a lot of links that don't appear to do anything:

Company
About Us
Privacy Policy
Terms Of Service
Contact Us
Bingo Articles
How To Play
Bingo Rules
Bingo lingo
Online Bingo FAQ
Beginners Guide
Bingo News
Online Bingo News
Bingo Promotions
Bingo Winners

...all appear to go nowhere.

Would I be right in assuming it's an affiliate site?

It's presumably been 'out there' for a short while already as I see you've amassed over 500 FB 'likes'. Is it proving lucrative?

yeah, need to add those pages in the footer and make sure everything is working. Site is doing ok, making money atleast. And yeah its an affiliate site.

I plan to try and make several UK targetted affiliate sites in the coming years. I'm avoiding the US mainly because its a tricky legal situation. IE i dont think its legal. But in the UK online gambling is regulated and its all above board.

Thanks for the feedback.

Do you mind me asking what kind of money it makes?

I'm mostly in the travel affiliate game, but I often wonder whether there's money to be made in gambling...

The site is new, like 3 months old. Makes around 300 a month at the moment. But i expect that it will make a lot more. I just need to increase my rank for various terms in the search engines and let the income build up over time.

That sounds like an impressive start. Back in my student days, that would have been very welcome extra cash! Smile

Sorry, I know I'm digressing a little from your review request, but may I ask what kinds of things you are doing from a marketing point of view? Have you actually done any paid marketing or is it purely just you investing time in thing like SEO, social media, etc.?

Just spending time link building mostly so i can rank for the names of the bingo sites. Eventually when im earning enough i will outsource more link building and content creation for the site. Basically re-invest the money into making it rank better and earn more money.

Good luck! It certainly looks like it should have potential.

I must say if you are getting that much amount of business from your site then invest atlst 20-25% of it on your site..go & buy valuable quality links from the particular search terms for increasing the ranking & if you can then simply go for PPC/SEO campaign as it being an affiliate marketing PPC goes for the best.

Good Luck dear!!! Smile

You could create and add a favicon to each page, nothing I can add to the above suggestions.

The site is very attractive. Right away the color scheme of soft pastel pinks and purple catch my attention, women would definitely be drawn to that. Layoutwise great job. Being that it's an online gaming site though I always want to see extra layers of security and trust. You never know what types of individuals are on the other side of these sites.

Would including pictures of actual people involved with the site be a little too much to ask or would that be a security hazard for a gaming site. But I guess in short I can't deny that I'm very attracted to the site based on the visual appeal.

I would prefer some big, eye-grabbing sections. The layout is overwhelming, at first. I don't know where I'm supposed to look. Maybe have one of the posts listed and centered at the top and then move to the double-column under that. I like the favicon idea, and maybe a bingo-card background or header image. An all text site doesn't scream "trust" to me.
