Well, the wise thing to do would have been to participate here in a conventional manner and add a signature to your posts. Instead you just went around posting things like "helpful" and "very useful" and nothing else, so quickly earned yourself a ban.

Ah well... Rolling Eyes

There are many ways to promote your site in driving traffic to website. One of the most effective ways to get traffic is to try and get in the top ten positions of Google, Yahoo and other search engines

One word of advice someone gave me when I started my business is always spend atleast 20 mins a day marketing yourself online, this can be creating a fan page in Facebook, writing tweets and of course as mentioned before contribute on great forum sites! Smile

The key thing is to let people know what you have been doing and are an expert in your field, you have to make yourself look busy and in demand.

Regards
Jenny

You need to increase the number of backlinks to your site and introduce crosslinking to your own site

Basically, trust is a major issue in online business environment. So, how do you build trust? You have to build it into every element of your site. I suggested to write articles to make people feel comfortable with you.

I believe that "the more traffic, the better chance of sales". I suggest to get your own domain because this will make easier for your customer to find you. Then write and submit articles and participate in online forums especially those related to your site.

True to a point, Alfred... but it doesn't entirely tell the picture. You can generate more sales without getting more traffic. Other factors are the quality of the traffic and the presentation of what you're selling / ease of buying.

Also you can generate a lot of extra traffic without getting more sales - think conversion rates.

It's not too difficult to create traffic surges, but it's quite rare for them to result in extra profit or income. IMO traffic doesn't equal money - it's what you do with the traffic that counts..

And here are a couple of tips for you...

Do not alienate and annoy forum owners and other users by posting copy and paste rubbish on their forum.

Do not try to pretend to be someone or something you are not. (We know you're posting from Pakistan, so don't even try to deceive us about who or where you are.)

There are thousands of ways:
Build a quality links program, use forums, comment on blogs, write and submit articles or articles bases, have your e-zine, for a shor time you may use paid ads (but just as a boost).
What else? Social bookmarking
