Philosophical question You can think without education as well as you can get education practically without thinking... everything depends on quality both of thinking and education... |

I think that thinking is natural as you have said. However, I think that education increases the levels and depths of our thinking. Does that make sense? |

Going by some of the courses around at uni now, I suspect that might be right.
I remember someone a few years ago was doing an electronics NVQ and the tutor wrote something on the blackboard and told the class "Don't copy what's written on the board" and left the room for half an hour. What he'd written was the answer to the problem they were studying and this was going into coursework to be part of their final mark.
This happened quite a few times which meant technically the pupils were given an "education" with very high numbers passing the course, but not a lot of thinking was involved.
Just depends on your definition of education.
