Thought this might be fun to try...

Do you know a shortcut that you find useful but suspect other people are not aware of?

Stuff like Alt+Tab to switch windows?

I just discovered - by accident - on my machine today that Ctrl-space brings up a Google searchbox which I can type in and hit return. Quite handy, and something which I think you get via the Google toolbar. (If you have 'Google' just to the right of your start button in the bottom left hand corner of your machine, right click on it and click on 'select a shortcut' to configure.)

So... what shortcuts do you use that the rest of us might not know? Smile

[Windows Key] + R brings up the "Run" window. I like that one.

Also, many people know that [Tab] will take you through clickable elements on a page or a window, but not so many people know that [Shift] + [Tab] will take you through them in reverse order. Very handy if you accidentally tab past something and can't be bothered to move your arm to the mouse, or tab all the way through again (like me).

I just discovered [Shift] + [Alt] + [Tab] has the same effect with switching windows.

[Ctrl] + [Tab] often switches internal windows/tabs within a program also, in the same way.

Try
Win+tab -> switch the windows in a new cool way.
Win+D -> Minimize all the windows at once ( useful if you want to go directly to desktop)
Win+E -> Opens Win Explorer (you can remove MyComputer if you like a clean desktop)
Win+L -> Lock computer (useful at office when you go to bathroom or something and need to make sure that no one will access your computer)
