Paul, is the competition open now? I'm not sure if you're perhaps not yet wanting to encourage people to visit the site as it's still a WIP.

Yep, it's open and I don't mind people looking now even though it's still WIP. Thanks, Kay...

Interesting article, Adi, especially the bit about increasing trust.

If I could afford to stay in a luxury riverside apartment, price wouldn't be my main criterion. I'd be more interested in the location, local amenities and the facilities in the place itself. I think it's more advantageous to be better rather than cheaper.

Of course price is only one metric you can use in providing comparisons. Facilities could be another, although of course as the article suggests you would have to make sure it is current and correct.

Thanks, Adi. I can see how this works if you are, say, selling a CD. It really doesn't matter whether you buy it from Amazon, Play.com or CD-WOW as you're going to get the same thing. However, with something like holiday accommodation - particularly accommodation that's fairly unique in relation to what else is out there - I'm not sure it really applies in quite the same way.

I wouldn't compare to other accommdation on the Kendal Cottages site
But having kendal Cottages on a comparison site would be beneficial

Paul, how did you create the map, and where is it stored? If you create it in Google My Maps, you can add a marker for your property, and visitors can ask Google for directions from anywhere.

It was created using Aardvark Map (naturally! Wink) and that uses Google Maps...
