I'm sure someone here will have something to say about this. Wink

I see there are clamours for .scot domains, too.

Does this mean we also need .eng ...?? Confused

Bah! Just more gold rushes. Mind you I did manage to get a couple of pretty good dot co domains, so I might go for a couple of .wales and .scot ones. It'll take ages for them to go anywhere, though. People will still be wanting the .com and the .co.uk.

But you can never tell where the domain market will go next so I most likely will buy some.

Hmmm... The effort to develop a domain can be considerable so I can't imagine not investing that effort into a .COM or .CO.UK. Personally, I would still feel compelled to purchase the .COM and .CO.UK versions just to keep someone from benefiting from someone typing in the wrong version. Most likely I would do it the other way around and purchase for example the .wales and redirect (301) it to the .COM or .CO.UK

if the site is aiming at local people then it is ideal, but beyond that it is not so good., more thought is needed IMO.
