Hello Charles... gosh, you're all flooding in today. Does that golf game provide you with a revenue if you introduce paying members? How does it work exactly?

There are several revenues generated from the golf game.
Ball sales,Ad sales,Fundraisers, reselling licenses. It is a no brainer for me.

Cool Greetings all!

I only just discovered these forums this weekend (primarily registered in Travel forum...great place to go for anything travel related). Now I'm "new to here" (you Aardvarks, sorry for the repetition of introductions between forums Smile )

My name is Lisa and I am a marketing manager for DuPont in Colorado, US. I have a finance background but wanted to get broader experience in our company (as well as relieving the reference of "overhead" by colleagues).

I grew up in Europe, returning to the US when I was 15. I'm working on two concurrent business plans; one is a marketing proposal to a large textiles business for the winter sports industry and the other is my own business in event coordination. Both would put me in the middle of my passion, skiing. I'm hoping to get insights from this forum on others that have started their own businesses as well as general info sharing from the members.

I look forward to learnign from you and hope I can help someone here someday as well!

I'm from Sydney, Australia and I'm a musician working 50 hrs a week in an ice cream shop. I'm hoping to create enough of an income that I can stop working in an ice cream shop and just concentrate on my band!

anyway, nice to meet you all!

Hi, I started my own one man business (teaching and composing music) in 1978 . Went fully self-employed in 1985.
I don't think I could ever work for someone after being on my own for so many years.
I realy enjoy what I do, despite the ups and downs which go with selfemployment

Right, here goes.

I'm a freelance web designer, currently working for myself, and doing a day job to earn stable cash (relatively new start up). I've been building sites for about 7 years, worked It support and was a Internet/Intranet web manager for a MOD agency.

I'm currently trying to become a web entrepeneur, with plenty of sites going up. The current new site is listed below, but plenty more in the works.

I'm pretty good on all web-related subjects, IT in general and web promotion, so give me a shout if you need a hand.

Wizard
Magic and Balloon Lady from Petersfield, Hampshire, UK - but you can call me Rachel Wink
New to all this posting and forums stuff!
Couldn't resist the idea of collecting ants, how unique.

Came across your fab forum whilst looking for some business advice, and I've found most of it here. Thanks!

I am currently working from home and looking into some premises, retailing Balloons, Balloon Gifts, and a small amount of Partyware.
My biggest seller is the Bear in a Balloon product. I'm having the website redesigned at the moment with a nice flash look and a brand logo for the Bear and I'm applying for 'Bear in a Balloon' to be trademark registered.

So that's a bit about me and the work I do, thanks for reading (if you've got this far without dozing off!) Razz

No probs, Emancipator... you found it in the end. You've rocketed to 20 posts in no time, so I guess you're no longer a new member in any case! Laughing

All about me, its a bit like speed dating then Smile

I am James, (or Chris) depending on if you were in school with me or not .

I am really a sales and marketing guy who waited for the web to be ready, I started building sites, then learned about marketing them to search engines, and then brought the whole of my business online.

I live in Wales, and work mostly in and around that area, but currently doing a bit across the pond. I specialise in bringing businesses to the web, and helping them create an online strategy to intergrate intot heir offline Sales campaigns.

Hey that sounds good, ( I left the bit out about working 25 hours a day and not having time to eat)

Since I wasn't at school with you (AFAIK), I'll say "welcome, James"! Cool

We have a few SEOs on here - hopefully you'll be able to bounce ideas off them, and get some good discussions going.

Enjoy,

Aaron
