I like your site so submitted mine. Got "Error in submission - Bad words detected", which is really stupid, because part of my offering is defense against porn-hijacking. In other words, your filter will reject "porn filter". So far, I have been rejected by one other site for such inverted intent.

First off, you don't say so, but I assume you are referring here to the 'Add URL' form on Aardvark Business.

Secondly, you seem to want help, yet you call us stupid....?!!! Hmmmmm.... interesting approach.

Anyway, moving on... the software we use has the facility for us to enter words that we don't want to be submitted as keywords. One of these words, I assume (I haven't checked), is the word 'porn'. I don't think it's an unreasonable word to block and have no intention of removing it. Although it may not be ideal for your particular situation, it is fitting for most circumstances in which that word might be submitted as a keyword.

Aaron

PS - I've moved your post to the correct forum. Perhaps you'd like to post a proper introduction next time. Wink

I see your point. Can you see mine? You are rejecting "porn filter" and similar.

Yes, I do see yours. PM the URL and I'll look at it further. If you catch me in a good mood, I might even add the site on your behalf. Wink

I see both your points. If aron lets the word porn appear on his directory, then there is every chance that the porn filters will prevent businesses from viewing his directory. Do you see that point?

What is wrong with 'adult content filter' ? why the need for the P word?

If you want silly, then how about a campaign I set up for a baby gift store being prevented from going live as it contained the word 'baby' which was a sensitive word Wink now THAT is stupid.

I got your PM, thank you, and have looked at the site. On reflection, I really don't think it is necessary for you to have the word as a keyword. It's a word that you use twice across your entire site (12 pages) and, as OWG states, "adult content filter" would serve as a perfectlly acceptable substitute.

Feel free to submit with this instead, at http://www.aardvarkbusiness.net/addurl
